Who can sign in ?

There are two ways of signing in i.e. as a scholar/professor or industrialist/corporate.

Requirements for signing in

For scholars, one must have a valid email id (institutional ID not a pre requisite), one valid publication (title, link, DOI) For industrialists, one must provide valid industry details (name, email, website, contact number, industry type).

Duration for activation of account

You will get an email regarding the activation link for your account (max 2 mins). In case if you don’t get it, recheck your publication credentials (or contact us at info@scholarlyneeds.com).

What if I forgot my password ?

An email will be sent to your registered mail id for further process.

How to ask a question ?

Click on Ask Question button and type the question, description about it and supporting keywords .

How to suggest a project ?

Click on Suggest a project button and type the title of the project, description about it and supporting keywords .

Where to check the questions I asked ?

You can check the questions you asked from the Your questions page. The answers for these questions is also present in the same page.

Where to check the projects I suggested ?

You can check the projects you gave from the Projects you suggested page. The replies for these projects are also present in the same page.

Where to view the answers I gave ?

You can check these answers from the Answers you gave page.

Is upvoting a question/ answer or project really important ?

Yes it is really important because only upvoted Q&A and projects will be credited with metrics.

My Profile

What does the basic info contain ?

The profile picture, country, expertise field in your research and educational qualification can be updated here.

What is the process of adding a research article to your profile ?

Initially enter the original details about the article (Title, authors, link, DOI). After verification, describe your work in simple language. Inclusion of references is a must.

Is it a must to post a video link about the published article ?

No, the video link is not mandatory.

Where can the scholar check his/her article contributions ?

All the scholar’s contributions are present in My Contributions page. The metrics (views, citations, upvotes) and comments of each contribution can be viewed individually.

How to find the overall metrics (SN Rating) of a scholar ?

Each scholar can view his own SN Rating by checking out the My Metrics page.

Is viewing or editing a CV free ?

Viewing or editing a CV is absolutely free (Scholars cannot download other scholar CV’s).

What is a badge ?

It is a digital representation of your metrics page. Your badge will be automatically embedded with your CV.

How are the badges differentiated ?

The badges are differentiated in accordance with the value of SN rating (0 to 20 : Bronze ; >20 to 40 : Silver ; 41 to 60 : Gold ; >60 to 80 : Gold Crown ; >80 Gold Crown with star)

Does the CV update dynamically ?

Yes, the CV updates dynamically.

Other options in My Profile

A scholar can view his/her activity history, messages, followers and his/her followings.

How are citations calculated ?

The citations for your work is organised only from the articles present in SN.

Review an article

How many reviews can be made for an article ?

A scholar can submit only one review per article.

In what formats can the reviewers comment be uploaded ?

One can upload the comments either in word or pdf format.

Jobs

What is the cost of posting a job ?

The cost for posting a job vacancy for one month is ₹5000 ( Irrespective of number of vacancies)

What are inactive jobs ?

These are the jobs for which payment yet to be made. They will be displayed to the scholars only after payment.

Explain the application process for a job

When a scholar clicks the Apply button, the concerned scholar’s CV will be sent as an email to the company automatically. Afterwards, the company will contact the scholar for future communications.

Do we have to pay for applying for the jobs ?

No, applying for the job is free of cost.

How to post a job ?

Click on Post a job vacancy button and fill in the necessary details of the job particulars.

Where to view the jobs after posting ?

You can check these from the Posted jobs page.

The cost for posting an industrial query for one month is ₹5000.

Only industrial login people can post queries on industry page .

Who can suggest projects on industry page ?

Only scholars/ professors can suggest projects on industry page .

Do we have to pay for suggesting the projects in industry page ?

Yes, the fee payment will be intimated to the concerned scholar only after the industries successfully approve the project proposal

What are inactive problems ?

These are the problems for which payment yet to be made. They will be displayed to the scholars only after payment .

What are the files that are needed to be submitted to the industries after approval of scholar’s proposal ?

A detailed explanation of the project along with the required model files and necessary diagrams have to be submitted.

What is the cost of posting an internship ?

The cost for posting an internship for one month is ₹5000 ( Irrespective of number of vacancies)

Do we have to pay for applying for the internships ?

No, applying for the internship is free of cost.
